Yellowing lower leaves

Keep an eye on it

Likely causes

  • Nitrogen deficiency (in veg)
  • Natural fade (late flower)
  • pH lockout

Quick fix

In veg, feed nitrogen and check your pH. In the last weeks of flower, some lower-leaf yellowing is normal — leave it.

Don't do this

Don't pump nutrients into a plant that's just finishing flower.

Prevent it next time

Feed to the stage and keep pH ~6.0–6.5 in soil, 5.5–6.0 in coco/hydro.
